Accommodating Resistance Squats (Chain Squats)

Using chains or bands while squatting is a principle I picked up from Westside Barbell and Louie Simmons. The concept is called accommodating resistance. The chains unload on the ground while you squat, so at the bottom when you are at the least mechanical advantage, the weight will accommodate and be lighter.

As you drive up, the the levers in your body will better move the squat weight, but now it gets heavier as well.
