Don’t be fooled, double over hand grip is much more difficult than the standard alternated grip.

On a typical dead lift day I will use thick grips until the grip fails, then double over hand grip (no hook grip) until grip fails, then alternating grip when my posterior chain will become the limiting factor.

Strong hands are a must.

I cut out the alternated grip due to coming in from Las Vegas at 4 am and I was beat. I wanted to quit while I was still ahead!

Oh, and the “act like a jerk drop” on 505 was for a keyboard warrior that doesn’t understand dead lift grips and wanted me to “get at him” when over 500 is done without a belt.
