Everything You Need to Know, Clearly Explained
We believe transparency builds trust. Here you’ll find clear, honest answers to the most common questions about our programs, process, and expectations.
Getting Started
How do I get started?
Easy. You don’t need to “get in shape first” or figure anything out ahead of time.
You just reach out, we learn a bit about your goals, and then we get you in for your first session. We’ll guide you through everything so you’re not walking in wondering what to do or where to go.
Think of it like this:
You show up. We handle the rest.
What happens during my first visit?
No awkward gym wandering. No guessing. No “uhh… what do I do now?”
We’ll welcome you in, talk through your goals, and take you through a simple, coach-led workout that matches your current fitness level.
It’s designed to do three things:
- Make you comfortable
- Show you how we train
- Help you leave feeling better than when you walked in
That’s it. No pressure. No ego. Just a solid first step.
Do I need to be in shape before joining?
Nope. And honestly, that’s kind of the whole point.
Most people start because they’re not in shape yet. That’s normal.
You don’t need to “earn” your way in here. We scale everything to you—whether you’re starting from scratch, coming back after years off, or just tired of doing it alone.
Memberships & Logistics
How do I get started?
We’ve got a few different options depending on what you want:
- Structured coached training (most popular)
- Semi-private training
- Open gym access
Most people don’t need more options—they need the right structure. That’s why most of our members go with coached training. It keeps them consistent without having to think about what to do next.
We’ll help you figure out what actually fits you, not just what sounds good on paper.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contracts.
We don’t lock people in—we help people stay because they’re getting results.
Simple month-to-month membership. If it’s working, keep going. If it’s not, we talk about it like adults.
Can I freeze my membership?
Yes.
Life happens. Travel, work, family, chaos—you name it.
If you need to pause, we make it easy so you’re not paying for something you’re not using.
Training & Experience
Is personal training included?
In many of our programs, yes—you’re getting coached sessions built into your membership.
This isn’t “here’s a workout, good luck.”
It’s:
- A coach with you
- Adjusting your form
- Pushing when you need it
- Scaling when you don’t
If you want more individualized 1-on-1 attention, we also offer that.
How are workouts customized?
Short answer: everything is scaled.
Longer answer: we meet you exactly where you are.
Got knee pain? We adjust.
Never lifted weights? We teach you.
Been out of the gym for 10 years? Perfect, we start there.
You don’t need to “catch up.” We build from your starting point.
Adults 40+
Can I train if I have knee, back, or shoulder issues?
Yes—and honestly, we see this all the time.
Most people don’t come in feeling perfect. They come in feeling stiff, sore, or unsure what their body can even do anymore.
We work around pain, not through it. And over time, most people actually start feeling better because they’re getting stronger in the right way.
I’ve never lifted weights before. Is Synergy right for me?
Yes.
You don’t need experience. You don’t need confidence. You don’t even need to know what a dumbbell is yet.
That’s literally our job.
We teach you step-by-step so you’re not guessing, stressing, or feeling behind.
GRIT Athlete (Youth Training)
What ages do you work with?
Middle school and high school athletes looking to get stronger, faster, and more confident in their sport.
Training is always age-appropriate and coach-led—no random workouts thrown at kids.
What sports do you train for?
All of them.
Soccer, football, wrestling, baseball, lacrosse, track—you name it.
We don’t just train “sports skills.” We build better athletes overall:
- Strength
- Speed
- Durability
- Confidence
How often should athletes train?
Most athletes train 2–3 times per week depending on the season.
- In-season = maintain and stay healthy
- Off-season = build strength and performance
We adjust based on schedule, sport, and goals.
