MYTH: If a product has no calories, I can have as much as I want.

TRUTH: Unfortunately, this one is of course a myth but a tricky one… I completely understand how this one can be confusing and now you may be rethinking a product that you know is labeled as “Calorie Free”.

In our country, a product can advertise being no-cal if it has fewer than 5 calories per servings. Tricky, right?!

In reality those zero-calorie syrups, jams, dressings, etc. aren’t really no-cal.

This myth ties in well with last weeks, sometimes these “no calorie” or “organic, natural, gluten-free” options may be better than the one sitting on the shelf next to it but just take a minute to read the nutrition label to see whats actually in the product!

Keep in mind that those products that label themselves as “zero-calorie” or “no calorie” may have up to 5 calories per serving, take a look at the serving size before having the entire bottle/box of something!
